Kaitya Erutan stopped as the sensation she had been experiencing for almost three weeks filled her, overcoming her senses. She tried to categorize it but was unable to pinpoint exactly what it was. Until recently, she had been having an internal battle between her Amazonian Warrior side and her newly made Firebird one, but she knew it had nothing to do with that. She didn’t know how she knew that—it was just instinct. She figured that whatever this was, it was different.
I hate not feeling…like myself. Kaitya walked away from the meeting she had just attended. Another in the long line of meetings to decide what to do about the ‘Big Bad’—as her friend and brother’s mate Storm Davis liked to call A’rm Ageddon and Blagden. The two were a love story gone majorly wrong. A’rm Ageddon was Eve’s sister and wanted to rip the world apart because they didn’t worship her. At least that was what Storm and Eve had recently learned. Blagden, the former Shadow King, was ‘bat shit’—another of Storm’s descriptions, and Kaitya agreed—and wanted to rescue his supposed love. Letting the two get together again would be a bad idea. That was what the meeting had been about—ways to ensure that A’rm Ageddon didn’t get back into Blagden’s hands.
They had her in confinement and knew that after Blagden’s sloppy attempt at trying to take out Storm and Killian, he would do anything to have her. Kaitya smiled at the thought of her brother Killian, as well as Storm’s descriptions of Blagden and his failed plan. Blagden’s first mistake had been that he’d underestimated Storm and Killian. His second had been that he’d gotten injured. They hadn’t heard anything from him during these last few weeks but knew it was only a matter of time.
People supposedly in love do some dumbass things. Kaitya had no idea why love made some people act like idiots. She amended that statement as she thought of those she knew who were in a committed relationship—a healthy one. They knew what true love was—a partnership that was built on something solid and didn’t tear everything and everyone else down.
Suddenly Kaitya stopped and she shuddered as all her senses went on high alert. With a swift turn, she lashed out, using her left hand while in her right she materialized her square-headed war hammer, letting it fall by the steel chains that gave her more reach. Although she couldn’t visually see or feel any power signature, her hand stopped just before the shadows. Kaitya held back a gasp as she touched warm skin.
A hand gripped her wrist then the air seemed to peel away. A man detached from the air—she knew that on each molecule of air there were shadows that the Shadowers could manipulate. Kaitya lost her breath as she looked into intense violet eyes. The rest of the man was as interesting as his gaze. The ends of his dual braided violet hair spilled over one broad shoulder with the four tips of the braids coming to rest to just below his waist. The strands were caught at the top of his head in a high ponytail. Against his suntanned skin the vividness of his hair and eyes made him a sexy piece of man. He was sleek and muscular and his height was a little over hers—she would estimate he was about six feet four. Kaitya glanced down at his broad chest where her palm was pressed against the open V of his black shirt that billowed around him. The garment fell in soft waves to mid-thigh of his black jeans. Soft-looking knee-high black boots with buckles and laces completed his clothing.
“Well, this is a kick in the teeth.” His deep, sensuous voice was soft as he continued to stare at her.

Taige Crenshaw - Blog tour stop with Erotica for All
A conversation that I’ve had a few times in the past and more recently got me to thinking. A lot of blood, sweat, time, sleepless nights and tears go into anything that you love. Whether it is sewing that fabulous outfit, painting a picture, crocheting a throw or any other number of things you do. With each it takes all of what I mentioned above to get to that finished point. It’s the same with being a writer. Let me break it down.

The Phoenix Intelligence Agency series is set in an alternate reality. How do you go about creating a paranormal world?
I love putting my spin on things. The series keeps evolving and growing. When I built the world of the Phoenix Intelligence Agency series, I created a mythology of the world and built from there. I’ve taken many parts of history, folklore and other interesting tidbits to create the world of the story. I sank into the myths that I was creating. In the world I added many various things that I find fascinating and put a spin on many of them in some way. The world is revealed brick by brick and layer by layer.
