  Review by Kate Deveaux

Sensuality at it’s best in this rich Moroccan tale. Ashe Barker weaves a seductively exotic story when Fleur, the hotel doctor, comes to the aide of Ethan, a visiting English geologist who has crashed his car and is in need of medical attention. Ethan is just what the doctor ordered when Fleur finds herself falling for the charms of this dominating and dashing hero who it turns out is a guest at her very hotel. Barker has done a fabulous job of weaving the sensual setting within the sizzling love story, from the charming hotel Riads to the harsh desert landscape, singed with the culture clash between traditional and modern Moroccan values. Skillfully, Ms. Barker has crafted a beautiful evolution of Dom and Submissive when Fleur blossoms under Ethan’s attentive tutelage.

A true delight to read, I loved this book!

Ashe Barker writes exquisite stories. Sparks fly between them from the very start and it doesn’t take long before Ms. Barker dives into some hot and heavy sex scenes.  I have to say, I read a lot of erotic romance, but I have never read such incredibly vivid, hot scenes as I found in this book.  Ms. Barker has a gift for giving you the play by play, taking the sex scenes slowly and allowing them to build by describing every subtle detail, from anatomy to the character’s thoughts. I found myself not only riveted by the sex, which develops into smoking hot D/s scenes, but also charmed by the characters, who were the kind of intelligent and emotionally mature people I would like to be have in my inner circle. I highly recommend Chameleon, a beautiful unfolding of lust, dominance and submission, and the budding trust of two people beginning to give their hearts to one another.

Old and new, poverty and opulence, pleasure and pain… Chameleon takes opposites and brings them together until they merge. There are a lot of sex scenes, but they’re markers on that journey, never gratuitous, always pushing Fleur forward until it comes to a decision that will change her life. It’s a brave, dignified decision and it fits her character perfectly.A wonderful addition to the series and a memorable, hot and spicy read.

The descriptions of Marrakesh and the culture are well done and interesting. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys some serious sexy time within a story with great substance.

Chameleon was a brilliant book. Exotic, intriguing, unique, sexy… I loved the setting, the characters and the storyline. The sex scenes were super-hot, too. I kept wondering how it was going to turn out for the pair, let’s just say the ending is very satisfying. I’d definitely recommend this book to fans of BDSM erotic romance.

Very sweet and erotic, Chameleon has it all. Ethan’s chance meeting with Fleur was quite entertaining for me. From there things just get more interesting as things heat up. Very nice Dom and a perfect match for Fleur as comes into her own. The fledgling sub is no match for this Dom and as she begins to blossom. Fans who like BDSM but not over the top will be purring with their escapades.

Chameleon is no quick read. It has a nice steady build-up, combining the perfect amount of sweet and heat all accumulating to a most satisfying ending. A perfect read for anyone who enjoys BDSM with their romance as well as great a first read for anyone who has never read Ms. Barker’s works before.

It has that deliciously illicit feeling of going through an adventure that you're not supposed to have an inkling about happening to somebody. Like you're a voyeur in someone else's journey of self discovery. It's not just because it's set in exotic Marrakesh but how the story is approached: you're actually there watching Ethan lovingly shred the protective cloak Fleur wrapped around herself and seeing her blossom into who she truly is. The only term I can come up with for this is beautifully erotic.  Chameleon is a perfectly sensuous debut for Totally Five Star.

Ethan and Fleur’s relationship is based on trust. And that I think it’s one of the best thing about this story. Their relationship is sizzling, erotic and a passion that could burn the pages of my e-reader. I think that Chameleon is a great Contemporary Romance with BDSM as a major theme but the romance is there as well. The romantic aspect of this book is slow going but totally worth it at the end.

Chameleon is a beautiful sensual story that explores a submissive finding herself set in a stunning landscape. Though this is a BDSM book, it beautiful written story about Fleur and Ethan. BDSM is a big part of this book, however there more to the story then first meets the eye. I love the concept of this series and Barker did an amazing job with the opening book.
