Things are far from what they seem...
CJ, a young, grieving widow, is struggling to move on. A professional violinist, she’s stuck in mourning mode, and finally agrees to meet up with her friends a year after her husband’s death, nervous and stressed as hell.
Drew ‘Render’ Renderson is a bar owner, ex-cop, and agent at Solve Security. On the bar’s busiest night, an exquisite red-headed woman joins his security-work colleagues in their regular booth, and he delivers their drinks. CJ is extremely skittish, and he wants to work out why, to put her at ease, to show her a great time.
Won over by his breathtaking smile and thoughtful conversation, CJ spends a super passionate night with him. Except, afterward, guilt infiltrates her brain, and she keeps her distance.
Gifts and messages start arriving at her home that soon turn unsettling, and she suspects he’s behind it. Worried about her safety, she asks Solve Security to investigate. When Render is appointed as her agent, she’s shocked…and scared. Proving he had nothing to do with the notes and parcels, he becomes her twenty-four-seven bodyguard.
Following a frightening confrontation with the unknown culprit, her relationship with Render grows stronger, closer, deeper. They soon discover a stash of cash her husband had hidden, linking him to a white-collar crime, and his ultimate death.
An assailant desperate and determined to find the missing money…
With the threats and tension growing, along with their romantic connection, can CJ and Render identify the perpetrator before he silences them forever, and gets away with murder?
