Sierra Carwright is a one-click author for me, and Shockwave, doesn’t disappoint. The story sizzles with passion and heat from the beginning, and even after finishing the novel I’m still daydreaming about the characters’ relationship. As always, Ms. Carwright does a superb job at writing the sex and the BDSM elements within the story. Hot is an understatement regarding Shockwave. All in all... an exquisite, highly recommendable read.

I am a new Sierra Cartwright fan, and while I’m not usually a fan of BDSM books, I couldn’t put this one down...The two characters together were great – and Cartwright once again blew me away with the fact that I could enjoy a BDSM novel...This is the first book in the series, but I can see myself continuing on with the series in the future.

Alani is a masochist and a professional submissive in the club that Master Nathaniel owns with his friends. She is independent and in it for the pain from the Doms she is with. She is not getting what she needs though. Master Nathaniel catches her yawning while in a scene and decides she needs retraining. What ensues is a battle of wills as each struggles to come to terms with what they each need out of a scene and a D/s relationship. I did find Nathaniel cold and standoffish at the beginning. He can see right through Alani like no one ever has before and goes out of his way to make sure her needs are met. Even some she didn't realize she had. In doing so, he discovered another side to him as well which made him more likable. Sierra Cartwright knows her BDSM relationships and that easily comes across in Shockwave. One can easily see the emotional and physical side to Nathaniel and Alani’s relationship.

I love Sierra Cartwright!! She does not disappoint with Shockwave!! Alani is stuck in a rut, just going through the motions of being a professional sub. Till she gets caught (in more ways than one😁) by the Super sexy Master Nathaniel!! He pulls her out of herself and she shows him what he's missing. Hot and edgy!!

Wow what a story. For those who like to know this is an extended re-release but personally even if you have read the original, I think personally it's so much better now that it deserves a reread. The story moves quickly (so be warned if you can't dispel disbelief and imagine a love story happening in the span of a few weeks this isn't for you) but if your all for a love story that leaves you with the most amazing feeling that's never short on real emotions then this story is for you I was left reeling after this book (I took about a week to process all my thoughts and write this review) Its full of emotions that feel so real that they jump of the page. Definitely a must read.

Shockwave is a straight-forward BDSM romance! Sierra Cartwright is a master at creating this type of novel and this is no exception!
The sex scenes are uber hot and left me needing a cold drink! Whew! Where can I find a Master Nathaniel?? I loved their romantic journey! As this is the first book of the Impulse series, I am hoping the next book involves Master Braxton and Karyn! I want him to be happy and at the end of this book, he’s downright miserable!!

I really enjoyed this book that launches a new series...
The blurring of the line between scene and everyday worked really well, and gave Alani plenty to reflect upon as she remembers just why she sought out BDSM in the first place. Even the fairly instant chemistry works as it is in context.
Good book of the genre, with some interesting stories to come, I am sure.
