First off, I could not put this book down. From the second I read the synopsis for it I knew i had to read it and I read it within one night. That's how good this was and how bad I couldn't put it down. Sierra has started the beginning of a sensual and seductive world with this first book in the Mastered series.
The introduction into the world of BDSM and though it wasn't my first time reading a book set in this type of world I still really loved this book. Julia who is the heroine of the story is someone who has no clue really about the dark sensual world she is about to venture in. Marcus the hero of this story is a powerful and seductive Dom who leads Julia into the world. Marcus is a very strong male character and does come across a bit strong but I like that about him. He takes charge and knows what he wants.
I would highly recommend this book to fans of Sierra's or fans of BDSM books. This book will take you on a erotic journey into the sensual world of BDSM. Love it!

All in all, I was impressed with this novel. I tend to choose novels based on their cover and the title as well as if I know anything about the author. I've never read anything from this author before. I have to admit of course but I was drawn in by the cover it supremely hot yet subdued. The novel is well-written, there were incredible scenes between the two main characters Julia and Marcus. I wasn't really sure what to expect out of this. I thought it would be possibly a pretty intense BDSM novel but it turned out to be relatively mild in my opinion. It had just the right amount of kink. Favorite Quotes: “How many spanks have you had, Julia?” Damien asked. “Two, Sir.” “What colour are you on?” “Mortification,” she mumbled.

With This Collar is the first book in the Mastered series by Sierra Cartwright. I chose this book because after reading the summery I wanted to read about Julia’s struggle to submit to Marcus. The struggle between them was very thought provoking. It takes a lot for a strong woman to submit to someone.
The chemistry between Marcus and Julia is explosive. The sex scenes were off the charts.
It was a very interesting read. Overall, I enjoyed reading about Julia’s struggle to submit to Marcus. I will be picking up the next book in the series soon.
